Former Tornado goalie stands out at Fenway Park

Dan Sullivan and the Maine men's hockey team put on a show Saturday night, and they did it in front of a crowd of 38,456.

Sullivan, a Dallastown graduate (Philadelphia Junior Flyers and Texas Tornado), was in the goal as the Black Bears nipped New Hampshire, 5-4, in overtime in the Sun Life Frozen Fenway outdoors at Boston's Fenway Park.

Despite giving up the four goals, Sullivan had a standout game with 20 saves.

"It was a very difficult game for both goalies for many reasons -- obviously the pressure from the game itself, conditions on the ice, depth perception of Fenway Park and the shadows all over the ice," associate head coach Dan Kerluke said. "Dan made some huge saves in the game to give us the opportunity to get the win in OT."
