Community Outreach

 

The Community Organization of the Night program: This program is designed to create awareness and support for various non-profit organizations in the area. This is just one of the many ways the Tornado organization works to give back to the community.

Teddy Bear TossStuffed animals and teddy bears are collected at a Tornado game to benefit children in the community.  This year’s Teddy Bear Toss will take place at the December 10th game against the Corpus Christi Ice Rays. 

Canned-Food DriveFriday, November 18th will be the Tornado’s Annual Food Drive.  Fans who donate (2) cans of food will receive a FREE ticket to that night’s game against the Amarillo Bulls.

Toys for Tots: The Tornado conduct a toy drive every holiday season.

Donate-a-Coat: The Tornado annual coat drive benefits area shelters.

Children's Medical Center

  • The Tornado's "WinterFest" on January 13th and 14th benefits the Children's Medical Center.  Patients will attend these Tornado home games compliments of the team.
  • A portion of the ticket sales from the Winterfest games and jersey auction proceeds (auction follows the January 14th game) go back to Children's Medical Center

Frisco Relay for Life

  • "Skate for a Cure" Series- March 16th and 17th benefits Frisco Relay for Life – a portion of the ticket sales from the “Skate for a Cure” games and jersey auction proceeds (auction follows the March 17th game) go back to Frisco Relay for Life
  • Silent Auctions during both games will also benefit Frisco Relay for Life

Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County

  • Tornado host two (2) Boys & Girls Club Nights during the season with over 300 Boys & Girls Club Members attending these Tornado games compliments of the team.
  • The Tornado will also host an "Honorary Dancer" program throughout the season to reward young "dancer" members for good grades and behavior.
